Cats & kittens

Lincs Ark rescues and rehomes mainly cats and kittens, but also small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, etc. These animals are cared for by individual foster carers until they find a loving, permanent home. When necessary, we also use carefully selected local catteries to house the some cats in our care.

We never put a healthy animal to sleep; all animals in our care stay with us until we can find them a new home. We always carry out a home visit for every adoption of one of our animals.

Do you think you may be able to offer a rescued animal a home?

Below are just some of the cats and kittens currently seeking a new home.  We do have some that haven't made it to the website yet so if you are looking for a particular type of cat, please get in contact

Casper - to be rehomed with Charlie

Casper - to be rehomed with Charlie

Casper is one part of a beautiful black pair of boys approx 10 months old. He was very nervous when he arrived with his foster carer but is settling in really well. Despite the fact that he still wants to hide sometimes he also can be really cuddly when he wants to be, so he's really just finding his feet and will need time in a new home for this too. He is a playful chap.  He enjoys chasing balls and running through tunnels, so he's still very much enjoying his life as a kitten. He doesn't like being picked up, enjoys gentle petting and reassurance but will retreat if you get too enthusiastic. He is to be rehomed with Charlie who he loves to eat, play and sleep with. He is neutered and will be vaccinated and micro chipped.

Rebus

Rebus

Rebus is a 3 year old boy who is enjoying life on the farm. He is very loving and likes to spend time on your knee. He is used to cats, dogs and other small animals, is used to roaming although not familiar with built up areas. He is neutered and will be microchipped and vaccinated upon adoption.

Smudge

Post Date: 07/12/2017

Smudge

Smudge is a friendly and affectionate boy, on his terms, however he loves to play with toys especially if they have a feather on them. Smudge also likes to play tug of war with you. Smudge is litter trained vaccinated and micro chipped. He is good with children over 6 but we would not recommend any younger children in the household. Smudge  loves a scratch under the chin but remember only when he wants it!
Smudge is approximately 3 years old

Charlie - to be rehomed with Casper

Charlie - to be rehomed with Casper

Charlie is approximately 10 months old and is a really affectionate little boy. He is much more confident than his brother Casper and loves to sit on your knee for some fuss and will even give you a little nose rub.  His other love is food and can be quite a greedy cat, which means Casper is starting to realise that he needs to push him away from his own dinner if he stands a chance to finish it himself. Whilst more confident, he does get spooked by sudden and loud noises. He loves to eat, sleep and play with his brother and they are up for rehoming together. He is neutered and will be vaccinated and micro chipped.

Barney

Post Date: 29/11/2017

Barney

Barney is your typical grumpy old man. Set in his ways, he likes to do what he wants, when he wants. Given a cat flap (and make it a large one) he lets himself in and out is also litter trained.  Barney likes a fuss on his terms and will monopolise a sunny window sill.  He will expect food to be available in a clean bowl twice a day with water and biscuits on tap. A water fountain would be great.
Barney in turn will keep other cats away and will chase off vermin.  If you have space for Barney to just wander in and out and occasionally swipe your ankles if you ignore him then please come and see him. Given the right home with no other cats he might even sit with you or on a mat by the fire.  Barney is an independent 11 year-old but still likes to play with toys even managing a kick about with a ball in the garden. Barney will keep you company whilst out in the garden and even help by doing a bit of digging - just don't expect him to cuddle up on your lap.  Maybe you can be the one to tame him.

Sketch aka Lolly

Post Date: 29/11/2017

Sketch aka Lolly

This little girl is approximately 2 years old and is a petite beauty with unusual markings, who sadly has been returned to us after previously being adopted. This time it must be right for her now she is older and we know a little more about her.

Don't let her size fool you as she is a little girl with a big attitude who likes to rule the roost, don't think because she is small she can't fight her own battles as she thinks she is invincible and will stand up for herself.  After time in foster care we have decided that she needs to be the only cat in the house.
Sketch will play and run about and then crash out, but likes to keep an eye on what you are doing. She is litter trained and starting to use the cat flap as she likes to go out.  She is an avid gardener and will chase anything that moves, butterflies, insects and even your hands and toes. She likes to be outside to have a run about and would like a rural location away from noise and other cats. She is starting to cuddle up but prefers her own space with an eye on you, but with the right family this could be the making of a lifetime friendship. We feel that she should not be rehomed with children under ten as she is still finding her feet and boundaries.

Jess and Lucky

Jess and Lucky

These beautiful 3 year old sisters Jess and Lucky, need new homes, although not necessarily together. They are neutered and will be vaccinated and microchipped on rehoming. They are used to farm life and roaming, but not familiar with built up areas. They are cat, dog, chicken and small animal friendly so would fit into many scenarios. Lucky has a stumpy tail due to having it removed, but they are both loving girls.

Lollipop

Post Date: 27/11/2017

Lollipop

Lollipop is an 8 year old neutered girl whose carer passed away leaving her with nowhere to call home. She befriended a man who was looking out for her but sadly she cannot stay. She is very loving and affectionate and enjoys being on your knee. She hasn't manged to get on with any of the local cats and therefore we feel she should be the only cat in your home. We will ensure her vaccinations and microchip details are updated on adoption.

Tiger and Blacky

Post Date: 03/09/2017

Tiger and Blacky

Tiger and Blacky are two neutered boys approx 4 years old. They are waiting for a new home after their elderly owner went into a care home. They will require vaccinating and microchipping, however if this is done after adoption Lincs Ark will cover these costs.

They are used to going outdoors and currently used to being in a rural environment.  They can use a cat flap however and are also familiar with a litter tray.
They are not used to dogs or children so it is best that there are neither of these in their new home. They are used to company all day and have had a very peaceful and quiet life up until now. They are affectionate and love each other as well as human company so must go together, if you think your home sounds ideal for them get in touch.
They will need to go to their forever home together

Elsa

Elsa

Elsa

Hello my name is Elsa and I’m a gorgeous 2 year old tortoiseshell. I was found living underneath a conifer tree with nobody watching out for me.

I am looking for a kind and patient owner as I am very shy and nervous. I will flourish in a calm caring home and you must be willing to let me gain confidence at my own pace, I may start out hiding away but please give me time and love and I will reward you by being the most loyal of girls.

After this time I will come to you for strokes and kisses but I am not that keen on being picked up. I’m not very comfortable with being approached by strangers, I may just run off, but given my own time again I will get close as I am very inquisitive. Nearly all my time is spent following my foster mum around and waiting for the opportunity to get on her lap or lay on the radiator bed at the side of her as I’m a real heat seeker.

I love bedtime as this means a nice soft bed for me to lay on and I will be by your side all night until you open your eyes in the morning and I will greet you with lots of love.

I am used to a cat flap so must have one in my new home as I like to know I can get back inside as I get a bit jumpy. I love spending time outdoors but I equally like to be inside as well, wherever my owner is, will dictate where I want to be!

I am not good with children, if a child comes in the house the catflap will be used!! I am not used to a dog either and feel this could be too much for me. I do however manage fine with other cats but I can be a bit bossy and I do get a bit jealous at times and might tell them so as I do yearn for your love and attention!!

I am neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated.

I have been overlooked for a while now, so please can you give me my very own forever home. Thank you Elsa xxx

Blossom

Post Date: 18/07/2017

Blossom

Blossom is a beautiful white older lady who would prefer to be the only cat in the house as she gets jealous easily and will become unhappy with them. She will make a great companion cat and enjoys spending time with you or on your lap and will follow you around the house and even outside if you live somewhere safe and quiet. She is not very keen on much fussing but does like to be groomed. Blossom still enjoys playing despite her older age. Something a little unique about our Blossom is her meow, which is less meow and more a hiss. Once you learn fluent Blossom you will soon understand that she is not bad tempered just a little confused and asking to be let outside, this is because she will not use a cat flap.
She is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Jetski

Post Date: 18/07/2017

Jetski

Jetski is a young shy black girl who will need time to adjust and settle in her new home, so patience is key, alternatively we think she would suit a farm environment where she can be herself and explore. She loves to climb and gets on well with other cats. She is approx 1 year old, is neutered and vaccinated.
